If your child is looking into a program that isn't offered by a college in VA or MD, they may qualify for instate tuition at certain out of state institutions. This website gives more information on these agreements: https://www.sreb.org/academic-common-market

Just to throw an example out there, a VA student could attend Louisiana State University to pursue a Political Communication degree and pay in state tuition to attend (which is about a 66% savings).
