The darkness. The lingering cold inside. The gray outside. Anything help? I already work out. Eat pretty healthy. |
Not yet. Mine lasts from January to March. |
It’s September, turn off off your A/C. I don’t under The lingering cold comment. |
Yes, mine starts in Sept. it’s the change in light. I have used a light box for years. Last year it was more severe and I started Wellbutrin, which is now being used to treat SAD. It was remarkably effective for me. For the first time in my life I remember enjoying the beauty of changing leaves, versus feeling depressed by them. |
Yesterday it was 80 degrees. No offense, but there might be something else going on with you. |
Light box since 1996. Truly. They got better, more compact. I use my light pad about an hour in the morning while I do my web stiff, email, news, breakfast. No glasses on.

The rain is so so good and so so needed. I love the cozy feeling and the sound. Can make a ton of soups and stews now. And I'll be 84 on Friday. |
It’s not about the temperature, it’s the drop in light. Try a light box and if that doesn’t help, talk to you doctor about medication. |
Yes, I’m feeling seasonal depression. Not sure if it’s about the change to fall or the winter of our democracy’s discontent. |
It’s hot still. What are you talking about? |
Needed - yes. Good - no. It’s depressing. OP, I’ve been on an SSRI and it really helps with SAD. Fall is when it starts for me too. |
I'm feeling incredible relief that it's not so hot and buggy!
Woohoo! |
It has been beautiful and sunny. I think what you're feeling is just regular depression (me too). |
Except for the lantern flies clinging to things and window screens. |
