It's ok. Not for me but I've seen some really pretty ones. I think it looks good on long fingers which I don't have. The only cuts I really dislike are Emerald and Heart. Ascher and Square can look okay depending on the rest of the style.

I think marquise is ugly. I like round and cushion. Not a fan of princess cut, either.

I don't like marquise because the proportions seem off, but I do like ovals and emerald cut so I think everyone just has their own random preferences.

Depends on the shape of the hand wearing it. Only long, slender fingers look nice in a marquise. If you have chunkier hands, go with oval or emerald. (Not square. Never square.)

I’m old fashioned, so round brilliant cut with maximum sparkle is my favorite. I think the Marquise cut looks severe.

Ive been in love with them forever! I love a vintage marquise with chunky facets. I think they look so classy and they elongate my chunky finger lol.

My main problem would be getting it caught on clothes. I have oval but I always liked square shapes. I like symmetry.
