Muslim woman shot in Maryland by shooter who said he was "going to kill a Muslim"

I'm hearing from our local muslim community that a woman was shot in Capitol Heights yesterday afternoon in a random attack.

She wears a niqab (face veil) and was shot at several times by a man who confronted her and said he was "going to kill a Muslim." One bullet hit her hand and she was taken to the hospital and later released.

If the report is accurate (and there is no reason to suggest it isn't) then this isn't mental illness, but rather a targeted attack.
