While I don't want to call this political, I'm just putting it in this forum because it will eventually land here.
So dish, who do you know that has lost a job over this? Unfortunately two friends are on admin leave. One post was super tame too. |
More context - private posts, but someone dox'ed the two people by sharing it in a group and then it got publicly shared and got wildly out of control. Like people posting nooses on it. |
Anyone still on instagram, Facebook, X, needs their head checked. |
Why can’t people just shut up?
I have plenty of opinions, but I feel absolutely no need to share them with the world, with my name attached. |
Main character syndrome. It’s like a virus. Even LinkedIn has become unbearable. People are so desperate for attention these days. |
Because this is supposed to be America, where the government can’t order us to shut up. |
Yeah, sure, sure. A week ago 99% of the population had never heard of the guy, now it's cover for firing people. Trump has ruined the economy and it won't recover in your lifetime. |
Conservatives have long been unable to speak views at work. Conservatives lightly suggest maybe they should. Liberals guffaw about snowflakes and persecution complexes. Liberal murders conservative. Liberals are told not to celebrate. Suddenly, it’s like the end of the world. |
Yeah, well, here, it’s the employers who are doing what they want to do, not the state. It’s smarter just to shut up these days. |
+1 Amen |
I was on "the" Facebook when it was public and LinkedIn has always been public so I treat them as public spaces. I never post anything controversial at all. |
Chairman Mao is a rotten egg. |
More like: MAGA have long been too embarrassed to share their bad ideas at work, because they know they'll look like the selfish, racist, sexist, and xenophobic people they are. Real conservatives, liberals and independents who aren't idiots already knew to keep their politics to themselves at work like professionals. Trump shows up and MAGA start being pushy about foisting their lies and projection on the poor liberals, independents, and actual conservatives at work who are just trying to get sh*t done. Some rando who went down an internet rabbit hole and horribly murders a conservative. Everyone agrees this was horrible. Many sensible, decent people also think that the murdered man was not an admirable guy. Still they feel very badly for his poor kids. Some of them quote him directly in their posts about why he was not an admirable guy, because MAGA have lost their damn minds and act like this man was the second coming. They probably should just wait it out, but they don't, and they are treated as though they participated in the murder instead of just having some momentary bad judgement. Still, this bad judgement pales compared to some of the things MAGA post every day. Meanwhile, Trump, Vance, and MAGA decide to pin the murder on all "liberals" with zero basis/proof/logic, so that they can begin their full-on violence against and persecution of all people they deem too liberal that they've been planning for years, shut down all opinions that don't align with their lies (including the whitewashing about the murdered man), continue their attempts to turn America into an autocratic sh*thole, while talking about a mysterious "radial left" that they falsely scream has been committing ALL violence and ignoring all the violence perpetrated by their own brand of psychotic randos. And the randos who don't care about politics will just keep killing people with their guns. |
This. I have done all my complaining about Charlie Kirk right here on DCUM. And most of that complaining has been quoting the horrible things he has actually said over the years. |
Wow. Some of the people who post here are DCUM are quite evidently dishonest, deluded, or intentionally deaf. One of them tried to claim, in the big thread,:
“I have literally seen NO ONE celebrating his murder and I am liberal and almost all of my friends and people I see are liberal. Yes, I am in a bubble, but I am not seeing this anywhere, including my social media feeds, which include people from all over the country.“ |
