Do your DCPS high school students have DC ONE cards? What are they used for?

Yes. They use them to take metro and bus for free. They are also good for libraries, rec centers, etc, but to this point they have not used them for those purposes

I thought the kids ride free card replaced the DC One card for Metro rides several years ago?

Correct, the DC One card no longer works on the metro. That is the Kids Ride Free card.

The DC One card can be used at the library and also works as photo ID if your kid needed one.
