Tomorrow after work I’m going to see a family friend’s baby for the first time, only baby is already three months old. Mom had some complications, then baby, and things are better finally. Typically when I visit a new baby/new parents, I bring a little gift and a meal, but something about the timing feels off in this instance. I don’t want to show up empty handed, but I also don’t want to show up with a lasagna and salad, if you know what I mean. Thoughts? |
Personally, I would appreciate a prepared dinner in this situation. I'm sure they're still pretty frazzled after 3 months, especially if there were health complications. |
I would welcome a lasagna and salad anytime and my kids are in elementary school 😀 |
I actually think 3 months is a great time for that. Everyone helps the first month. Month three, you're still not sleeping, you're still exhausted, and offers of food and help have dried up. Bring the lasagne. |
