Asked to change vacation dates

Would you be annoyed if your boss asked you to move your planned vacation date because you needed to be on stand-by for someone else on your team who was moving? Someone else on your team who is pretty new and doesn't have much seniority.

Yes I would decline to move already-approved dates.

If your leave wasn’t already approved though there’s not much you can do.

If the other person asked first then it’s reasonable to deny your vacation. If
Not then it’s reasonable to ask if you can really refuse. And if your dates are flexible it’s reasonable for you
To agree. It’s not personal. Your boss is trying to manage a team.
