My 9yo has been wearing a cotton undershirt, but she gets hot. She wants to wear something underneath because it's a reversible jersey and she might need to change if she wears the wrong color. Does anyone have a recommendation for something lightweight that won't make her too hot? |
Tank top style 100% lightweight cotton. |
Do you have a brand recommendation? That's what my daughter has been wearing, but the ones we have, from Target, make her hot. |
camisole? tank top? |
ugh - cotton and heat don't work well at all - it's why almost every workout piece for adults is something synthetic/better at moisture wicking/drying |
OP here - maybe I should have been more clear. I'm asking for specific recommendations here. Obviously my child needs a cami, obviously cotton isn't working for her. I know these things. Would love if anyone has specific recommendations because I'm not finding anything other than bras and she doesn't need a bra. |
They have compression tank tops. They kinda look like a cropped tank but since she'll be wearing under her sports jersey it should be fine.

I dont have a brand but have seen sports bra type tanks. They dont have bra support just thin coverage. |
There's something called a sleep bra or bralette. She would probably be cooler without it covering her belly. |
Just get her a sports bra from Old Navy. |
This, exactly. My kid has been wearing sports bras since kindergarten when she plays lacrosse! |
Athleta sports bra. My dd started wearing them around age 8 bc you often need to reverse the jerseys and for the sleeveless ones, for my skinny dd you can see too much in the arm holes otherwise. She prefers the athleta ones over all the other brands she has tried. |
OP here, thanks, I'll check out Old Navy/Gap/Athleta to see if they have any sports bras without cups. |
