Help choose a fall/winter quilt in pink

Anonymous
I’m looking to change out my bedding for the fall/winter season and would love some help choosing! I’m set on finding a quilt/comforter and shams in a good for fall pink shade — not hot pink, not blush, and not clay.

I love the Anthropologie apricot quilt, but I’m hesitant to spend $400 (not that it’s a dealbreaker). I’ve also found a few other options that I like, but they’re on the very inexpensive side, which makes me worry about quality/comfort. I love my existing Quince duvet cover (white honeycomb) and my Brooklinen percale sheets. I just want to add a pop of color for the season.

Which one would you recommend, or do you have other suggestions for a good quality quilt in this kind of pink?

What’s going on in the rest of your room?

Did you look at the Company Store?

Do you rest on top of your bed a lot?

And do you wash/dryclean your comforter often?

I'd say you should go for the pink gathered inexpensive comforter. My main concern would be the stitching wearing prematurely, spoiling the look.

The cheap one with the ruffled circular designs might be very fragile. The decoration fabric might catch or pull easily.

+1 Was going to suggest this.

Also...Indian fabrics are commonly found in reds and pinks (bridal gown colors). Maybe search in that direction.

These are all very ugly shades of pink. These are not a "pop of color." A pop of color is a couple of pillow shams.

Anthropologie is ugly in any color.
The Amazon one is bearable but looks grimy.

The rest of the room is very neutral. Greige walls and carpet, cream color tufted bed, just got a tasteful glam fan to switch out the old one, large black frame floor mirror, white dressers, deep brown end tables next to the bed.

I tried getting a “soft pink” quilt from quince but it basically matched the walls/floor and you could barely see the pink (it basically looked like a white quilt was inadvertently washed with a red shirt and it was stained).

During Christmas, I pull out a tacky (but fun) Christmas quilt my little kids love, and in the summer I have a fun reversible quilt that reminds me of Greece.

I’m trying to experiment with color and texture. All of my usual faves, like Pottery Barn, Quince, and The Company Store have very neutral colors. They’re beautiful but I’m looking for something more bold. I do like the Quince dark green velvet quilt so that seems like a safe option (link below). But my preference is for a fall/winter pink (if possible).

Those sewed pattern "textures" are imo really ugly. Sorry.

Op here. No worries - I think 98% of them are ugly as well!

I like this and the same shop has a couple more pink options:

I'd prioritize getting something made with natural fibers instead of polyester.

Out of all of those, I only like the Anthropologie one. The other two look really cheap.

Might not work at all....but wanted to throw this print out there. Probably would not work with your wall color.
