How much did you loose before you felt a difference in the way your clothes fit? What was your starting weight? Method of weight loss?
I’ve lost 10 lbs and I feel better, but do not notice a difference with how my clothes fit. Starting weight was 170 and I’m 5’6. Calorie restricting, walking, weights. |
I have similar stats. I’ve lost about 15 pounds of weight through regular strength training and tracking macros/calories over the past six months. I’m still losing, albeit slowly. My jeans started getting pretty loose a couple of weeks ago. I can fit into a smaller size pant, but the loose jeans with a belt (definitely need the belt) is admittedly more comfortable. |
I need to lose about 20 lbs to go down a size. I lost 40 a couple of years ago and went from a 12 to 8. I didn’t really see much difference until about 15 lbs down, but my size 12s were probably a little tight to start. |
Almost immediately after losing 5 lbs. I think that is because I am already petite around the waist and pear-shaped and I lost some belly fat almost immediately. I already generally had to buy pants that are loose around the waist so that they fit my butt and thighs (the lament of the pear shaped woman!) so even losing just a cm around the waist made them much looser. Especially since the current high-waist styles are right around where my belly fat accumulated. |
Within 5 lbs for me, but I'm 5'1". Every 5 lbs is a pants size. |
12 lbs.
Walking, no snacking 5'6" 160 lbs start Shorts fit comfy. |
I'm 5' and I always say this exact thing and people never believe it. So glad to finally hear it from someone else's mouth. |
5'2"
165 to 145, 12 to 10 145 to 135, 10-8 130 to 120, 4-6 120 to 110, 2-4 110, size 0 At 110, people started asking me if I was sick. Currently at 118, size 4s are comfortable/a little lose at the waist |
For me at 5'2" it's 7lbs. People saying 20lbs must be very tall. |
5’2 and started at 234 lbs. At that point I was wearing mostly pants with stretchy fabric. They seemed looser when I got to 220 lbs but I was in the same size, a 20w.
This morning I weighed 197 and now wear an 18. Changing pant sizes has been slow but I carry most of my weight in my hips and legs. I’ve gotten rid of many tops. I had a lot that were xxl and now wear a L in some. Clothes seemed to look different every ten pounds. It depends how you carry your weight. |
^adding to my post, this has been two years of calorie counting, walking and exercise. A glp 1 was added 6 weeks ago. I’m still doing the calorie counting and same exercise routine. |
I have lost 17 lbs (200 to 183) and notice that my pants/shorts are no longer fitting tight. They fit appropriately now (because I was 185 or so when I bought them). |
I'm 5'2" by the way |
