The school is running some activity, and the school web page says that the sign up form is a google form, and the link to the form is only available by viewing an Instagram page, which is of blocked on school Chromebook accounts, because they know Instagram is bad.
How can they be so fractally incompetent?!? |
(oh and the sign up form was not in fact actually listed to Instagram at all. They were just trying to manifest a form via positive thinking.) |
I don't get the drama with wanting to ban cell phones in schools and then MCPS/staff/PTA's post everything on instagram. |
Agreed.
Ridiculous. |
Omg finally someone started a thread on this topic.
Why IG? And for many years it was (could still be) PTSA/PTAs posting on Fcebook. |
It's crazy how they don't update their own web site and then post on instagram important school information. |
+ A million |
Yes!
I won’t let my kid have insta but I had to join so she could run XC. WTAF?!? |
+ another million. Don't put stuff on Insta or FB. We are not there. We can easily visit the school site. |
Kids don’t look at school websites. They are on Instagram and TikTok. They still should update their website also. It’s probably an overworked secretary getting paid almost minimum wage responsible for it. |
students can update websites. Either hire for cheap or give ssl hrs. Come on mcps, think! |
I also hate trying to remember WHICH platform something was sent on - email, text remind, what’s app, Facebook, instagram… if I’m looking for a schedule or something I shouldn’t have to sort through all of them. |
Different district. Also hate this. And I don't use Facebook. Our high school sent out a newsletter with a graphic announcing the annual "State of the District" address by the Superintendent. It gives date and time but no location. Based on my past attendance, there are at least two possible building locations, 15 minutes apart. |
