I usually watch the show. I can say I honestly have no idea who the new lead is!

She's a nightmare. 3 kids and a history of arrest for domestic violence. I assume many will watch for the drama, but I think just as many (or more) will tune out.

Yes, not even a great face to offset the character flaws. I think the casting agents have gone off the deep end.

Also history of addiction and substance use. In top of attacking her boyfriend / husband (and being convicted of aggravated assault in a plea deal), she also threw a chair that hit one of her kids in the head while drunk. Has 3 young kids with 2 dads, youngest is about a year and already on a new dating show.

Great pick!

This casting announcement is the moment where I officially realized that at 46 I am now too old for this show and not their demographic. There’s no part of me that wants to watch someone with 3 little kids that’s been convicted of felony DV look for a new relationship. The double standard is also real with this one, you think they would cast a dude with 3 little kids with 2 different women who has been convicted of felony DV as the bachelor?!

The show producers must be trying to go a different direction. None of the guys who usually go on tjis show...and really, very few men who don't have kids of their own, would want to get engaged to a woman who has kids from two different guys. If a guy doesn't already have his own baggage, he's not going to want to raise somebody else's kids...including a baby!

This makes me think the producers are going to cast some questionable suitors to really create some drama...make the show more like a Real Housewives/Vanderpump show.

Her marriage ended because she cheated on her husband. She was part of the swinging scandal in 2022. Her and her husband were doing ‘soft swinging’ with a group of other couples but she went outside the agreement and got together secretly with one of the men.
Her kids are named Indy, Ocean, and Ever True. She is a train wreck.

Why would the show cast her aside from all the drama? There are many deserving women, Rachel who was engaged to Matt immediately comes to mind.

Sounds like they are probably trying to cross promote shows and also going in the reality trash vs fake wholesome direction.

I could have written this myself, but I don't think it's *just* our age. 15-20 years ago, when we were the same age as the contestants, there wasn't this level of dysfunction/drama. Sure, the contestants were catty and backstabbed each other, but no one had prior convictions or public swinging scandals. This level of insanity is new in the last couple of years.

I watched maybe 1 or 2 episodes of the first season of the Mormon Wives show at a friend's suggestion, and just couldn't bring myself to watch any more. From what I recall, she was one of the most explosive, least articulate women on that show (and they aren't a bunch of Zen rocket scientists, so that is saying something). She seems to have maybe the intellectual depth and emotional maturity of a 13 year old.

Obviously she's getting her $$ for this, but I think long run it's a terrible idea, very exploitative of her and her various issues (though she is clearly complicit in exploiting herself but I'm truly not sure she understands the consequences) and definitely the family/kids.

I agree and I feel bad for the kids. Do their fathers really let this trainwreck have custody??? They should get full custody if she does more reality TV. What a reckless piece of trash mother.
