Anonymous
TJ headcount on NMSFs is back up this year - even with a really high cutoff of 224...Roughly 115 kids.

TJ admissions had one disastrous year (Class of 2025), they changed the bonus experience points for the classes of 2026 and after.

NMSF numbers are up across the country.

Did they make the test easier or something? 224 is an insanely high cut score.

The top 3% cutoff was similar to the past, but the test was much easier at the very top. Anecdotally, there were a lot more perfect scores than expected among the top 3%, which is why the cutoffs were so high.

lol..no the test was not ‘made easier’

yes.. my kid had a 1500/1520 - so basically 1 question wrong and just hit the 224.

crazy!

This year's test takers are not much smarter than last year's test takers. The test scores jumped because the test was easier.

They still have a lot of unprepared kids but they are doing a better job of skimming the cream. 113 isn't particularly good for TJ.

81 in 2025, 165 in 2024, 132 in 2023, 132 in 2021, 157 in 2020, and 159 in 2019

Old principal was clueless, kept matters hush hush, but numbers spoke the facts.
