When your manager is lazy

Anonymous
When your manager is lazy when it comes to doing her job but is good at looking busy. She is totally fine watching others do her work, all the while claiming she’s deeply empathetic.

To boot, when ish goes wrong, she’s very adept at making sure nothing sticks to her.

The more I work with her, the less and less I respect her. What. A. Loser.

Many such cases. This is more the norm than the exception in middle management.

Well, I asked her to help me with something (aka do her job) because I am buried. She said she could "help" (ie do her job). Talked to her today, she gave some flimsy result. I am thoroughly DISGUSTED with her.

Have you explored quitting?

Oh please. Sounds like you have a time management issue.

Sounds like she’s figured the game out - getting paid more for less work. Admiration.

I was assured that private employers can only function with perfect efficiency.
