My son wants a desk for a monitor in his room but we only have about 33 I ches if length to work with for a desk with his current set up which he loves.
Is that way too small? He wants to play Xbox but not much else. No TV in his room so hopefully finding a desk for his bday. Help! |
| My DS has his gaming monitor on an Ikea Alex desk, which is 39". He has plenty of extra desk space on either side of the monitor, so I'd think 33" would work for you. But it probably depends on how your monitor is configured. |

I love online product hunts but only had a few minutes, so here are a few quickies that I found:
We got our daughter’s desk from AllModern and it seemed like they might have something. There’s an option to sort by width, but only 2-3 in the size you need. Here’s what I thought was the best small desk for a youth: https://www.allmodern.com/furniture/pdp/allmodern-loft-marble-desk-a001148380.html IKEA’s always worth a check. I saw this one there and it’s only 30” (called “dressing table” but it was categorized under desks): https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/nordkisa-dressing-table-bamboo-20439472/ I did a Google search for “small desks” and Wayfaur seemed to have several options. Didn’t click around there much, but I came across this corner desk, in case putting the desk into a corner would work with your setup. I used to have an antique corner bookcase that I adored but never knew there were corner desks! https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/winston-porter-careyann-corner-writing-desk-w006114806.html?piid=1247010093 |
| I would start looking with Ikea. We prefer solid wood, but it is wildly more expensive. |

I have this desk from World Market in a tight space

| We had success on Amazon. But is hanging the monitor an option? |
| Thanks! We can hang the monitor or get a stand for the back of the desk |
| Is 29.5 I ches wide enough? This one is nice with a monitor stand in top? |
| IKEA micke desk |
