PSAT for Juniors?

Anonymous
This is the test administration that counts for the NMSF, but it seems like MCPS automatically enrolls Sophomores and pays for their fee, but doesn't automatically enroll Juniors? That seems weird -- is that right? I haven't seen any announcements from our school for signing up for it, and it's also not listed on our school calendar.
From other school calendars, it looks like it will be 10/15 across MCPS -- is that right? Does anyone know signup details?
Thank you!

i didn't remember doing anything for my junior last year. I am pretty sure it's automatic.

That was my understanding too, that juniors weren't automatically registered and had to pay, but apparently Springbrook HS is automatically registering and enrolling juniors for the PSAT too....

That's how it's been at Einstein. Sophomores are automatically registered free of charge; juniors can opt to register and pay the fee.

At RM they said go to schoolcashonline and pay $17 to register juniors for the test. Sophomores are free and automatically registered by the school

Probably because juniors take the SAT free of charge in the spring.

Ask your Assistant Principal if you are unsure. Typically 10th grade students taking it do so for free. And 11th grade students pay.

Anyone hear anything yet for Blair?

Identical process at BCC.

WJ doesn’t have the date listed under 10/15 and the PSAT link on the site is dead. Maybe they haven’t decided yet? It would be helpful to know so we don’t schedule doctors appointments for that day.
