My child his taking their first ACT as a junior; they have some thoughts on possible schools but nothing firm at this point. Practice tests have been very strong thus far, but we realize that practice and "game day" can vary considerably. So, we're hoping for "one and done" but recognize a second bite at the apple may be necessary down the road.
We're not going to send the scores anywhere this stage, and see no downside to skipping this step now (aside from the additional cost per report when the time comes). Am I missing anything? |
Huh? Your kid is a junior. Not applying anywhere yet. No reason to send anywhere yet. You're really overthinking this. |
| You mean the free score reports? Correct, I told my kid not to click on that the day of the test. It's worth it to wait to know the score, try and do better if necessary, then pay extra to send them before the application deadlines. |
| Pretty much don’t ever send the free score reports - you should always wait to get the score back first. And there’s no need to send reports as a junior. The schools wouldn’t even have an application file open for you yet. |
No. Of course not. |
Exactly. And most schools don’t require official reports when applying. |
