| Ours had a great time. Saw a bunch of kids from previously schools and had a group picture from with kids from elementary school. The kids are now at a bunch of different schools but all the schools had the same senior sunrise day. Seems like everyone had a lot of fun. |
| He overslept. |
| Can you explain for those of us who don't know what you're talking about |
DP but a lot of schools have a tradition where the senior class goes somewhere together to watch the sunrise one morning early in the year. Many go to Lincoln Memorial. |
Mine’s a junior but odds are 50/50 for this outcome next year. At best. |
| DC was there and had a great time! It is a nice tradition for DC schools. |
| My kid's school did theirs on campus. Hiked down to the river and watched from the rocks looking down river. |
| It's a fancy private school tradition where the kids get together and talk about how much better they are than the public school kids. |
Give it a rest - I know public kids who have done this too. And hint - public and private kids have no beef with one another. Just petty parents do. |
Of all things to bash private school students about, you're mad they got up early and went down to the public monuments to watch the sunrise? |
+1. I know lots of publics that do this. Maybe not at the Lincoln Memorial because we're in Virginia, but this tradition isn't a private-only thing. |
I had one in public and one in private and both of their classes did senior sunrise on the first day of school (neither of them went though - they both preferred to sleep). |
Yes Jackson-Reed does not do this! I feel better knowing this. |
My kids' private school doesn't do it. Guess we're not "fancy" enough. |
You sound bitter. |
