| What’s his style, if any? |
| I've always liked the way my DH dresses, mostly because sweats and t-shirts or athletic shorts and t-shirts out of the house weren't his style. He's big on collared shirts and they suit him. That said, he always lags on following current trends in male fashion, so I'm not sure I'd say he has "good" style. He just knows what looks good and sticks with it. |
| Yes. Sort of blends rocker/preppy. So not too much of each. |

No. DH isn't the worst, but he's not stylish. Mostly wears jeans and button down shirts with sleeves rolled. He likes polo shirts too. He relies on me to buy all of his clothes and doesn't care at all about style. If I buy something beyond what he likes, though, he just won't wear it. He dreams about wearing shorts, t shirt, and running shoes to work.
Luckily he has a great, athletic body which helps clothes look nicer. Sort of a joke, but dh's style was why he was still single when I met him. His clothes were so so bad. Nothing matched, cargo pants galore and he wore white socks with dark dress shoes. |

Yes. J. Crew and Calvin Klein are his favorite stores.
He also likes TJ Max and Marshalls for bargains. |

No, DH does not have great style.
He seems totally resistant to treating his dress clothes nicely. He also refuses to get his shirts professionally ironed or buy only non iron shirts. Part of it is that he grew up in a poorer (then communist) country and we moved to the US only a couple of years ago so he is sort of oblivious to subtle language of clothing in the US and he gets very defensive when I point out a faux pas. He has a sort of stubborn working class pride thing going on and I think he makes a point to reject the dress standards of our very preppy suburb. Another part of it is that he's gained weight and doesn't want to buy new clothes until he 'loses weight' which he has not made progress on. Luckily DH works in tech mostly from home so it doesn't really matter professionally. We did have a fight not long ago because he wanted to go a private school interview for our kid with fresh from the shower wet hair. Sigh. |
| Not really. He likes graphic tees (fine), jeans when it's cold (fine), and shorts and flip flops most of the year (ugh). He'll even put on a long sleeved button up over shorts for church. I have at least convinced him he can't wear the flip flops there, sneakers are a minimal improvement. |
| No. But that’s what I’m for! |
| Nope. But it’s pretty easy to point him in the direction of nice clothes! |
| I love how my DH dresses. He's in his mid-40's and looks casual but put together. I think wearing slim fit shirts helps (esp with button downs and polos). And I'm a big fan of a cool pair of sneakers and sunglasses. |

| No and I couldn’t care less. |
| Yes, mostly bc he has to go into his office 5 days a week, so he has to keep a nice wardrobe. Over the last 5 years he's become more comfortable spending on nice clothes and always looks polished. He shops at Todd Snyder, Sid Mashburn, Ralph Lauren, etc and gets his suits custom made. |
Men’s hair would dry on the way to the interview But I’m basically your DH, a techie with no fashion sense who grew up poor. Dressing stylishly takes money and time; and why should he value it? The only reason many men dress well is to attract women, and he’s nailed you down and likely makes the money to keep you! |
