When is MAP test windows for 2025-2026? My DC will be pulled out from school for a few days for some difficult to get scheduled appointments, and I want to confirm that we don't miss any important exams.

They haven’t posted this year’s testing calendars yet but this website says they will be coming soon, and you can see last year’s calendars as a reference: https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/sharedaccountability/

The MCPS window is like a month-- you should check with your specific school when they are planning on administering it.

The testing office has a new supervisor this year and we haven't received the official testing calendar which we normally get in mid-August. A draft was briefly shared and said fall MAP and DIBELS would open the first week of school through October 10th. I'm coordinating my school's testing under that draft guidance.

Who is the supervisor? I don’t think anyone is listed online.

Donna Blaney retired and it's a former principal but can't remember her name for the life of me. Donna used to send us weekly emails with updates and we've received nothing this year. It's bizarre.

Our kid already had the first day of MAP testing today. I wish the central office/schools/teachers would be more organized about telling parents when it’s going to happen.

Sounds more like poor planning/communications from MCPS. If someone is retiring, that’s something they knew about for a while and should have had the replacement up to speed

Our third grader had it last week! The first week of school!

Borderline criminally negligent, especially if there was not communication to all caregivers to ensure proper rest the nights before testing, etc. I feel bad for the 5th graders at that school whose Fall MAP scores get used for magnet MS admission. At least it's Winter MAP for your 3rd grade DC in relation to CES.

My 4th grader has MAP M this week and MAP R next week. I don't remember the test assessment come that early for the fall.

Same for ours, and I'm pretty sure it's earlier than usual.

Same for my fourth grader. No communication from the classroom teacher and came home today having done MAP-R.

Don’t teachers know that we can make sure our kids are particularly well rested if they tell us in advance what the day is?

Has anyone identified the new testing supervisor?

If the testing window hasn't been released yet, how are all these schools starting testing already?
