Please recommend a neurosurgeon in MD

Anonymous
I can't take it anymore, and I am ready for surgery due to a cervical stenosis that I've had for over 6 years. I was going to do it in Europe, but then the surgeon up and left that clinic to work in another country. I am originally from that country, and when I saw the specialist, he was just like, sure, that is not a big surgery, one night and out, and 2 weeks of exam after, and you should be good. In the U.S., I have been on drugs and painkillers for 5 years now. Not to mention, steroid injections, nerve burning, and epidural injections.
I noticed that an old thread had recommended surgeons in Virginia, but since I have a place in Montgomery County, I would prefer to have the surgery in MD. Please recommend someone you know who is good. Many thanks!

you need to talk to the team at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore.

Dr Henry Brem heads it up but his specialities may not overlap with your needs. There are several excellent specialists there and I'm sure there is one who can help.

Dr. Brem was my doctor from 2018-2023 when I needed surgery in California and the UCLA team took over.

Thank you so much! I hope there is not a long wait time for the consult.

I did multi-level upper spine fusion with Dr. Tai and he was amazing. He did the surgery out of Holy Cross in Silver Spring

I had a very successful double cervical fusion with Dr. Lubelski at Hopkins. He sees patients at the Green Spring Station office, which is slightly closer to MoCo, and the surgery was at Hopkins Bayview.

I would cross the river and see Dr Mazahery at OrthoVA

Thanks so much, everyone. I booked Dr. Wind. I am also supposed to send some tests to Johns Hopkins, but in the past, Hopkins has been a pain to book appointments or get any dates for appointments.
