If you plan to wear a thin necklace daily, I'd stick to 14k gold.
As others have said, Costco is great for this. For something more off the beaten track, I've had good luck on Etsy. |

What's everyone's favorite necklace length? 17, 18 or 20" ?
I wear a 14k chain I got on Etsy with a monogrammed disc charm and a diamond solitaire pendant. My chain is 17" and comes about an inch below the hollow of my throat but I'm wondering if I should get a longer one? |

| For daily wear, I would do 14 K or even 10 K as they are stronger. So ideally 14k. Costco, the mall kiosk, piercing pagoda have a good daily wear options. |
