I want to write a manuscript for a possible memoir.
I do not own a laptop or iPad/tablet but I do have an iPhone 16. Is there any way I can write one on my phone? Thank you in advance for responding! |

Maybe in Journal?
I think it is already installed |

I think many authors write their manuscripts on their Smartphones.
They probably download an app though. |
| Scrivener app |
| I once read a novel-length fanfiction that the author said was written on a phone. It has since been transformed into a professionally published book. |
| What about good old pen (or pencil) and paper? I don't think anything on your phone will be that good. |

^^ This is how Naomi Judd wrote her book “Love Can Build A Bridge.”
Or rumor has it that the famous writer Danielle Steel still writes her novels on a $20 typewriter she got years ago. |
| How old are you? |
|
Awful lot on a small screen.
You can get simple tablets for a couple hundred dollars. Android is easy. |
Well then how will they do emojis? |

Sounds like a troll post.
Go to the library and use their computers? Pay money to buy a computer? Get a typewriter? Write by hand, on paper? I would never in a million years write a book on a smartphone. |
| I’ve actually been working on a piece of writing partially on my phone. I have it on a google doc. Now that I am about 100 pages in, writing on the phone is really difficult. I have to open up my laptop and work on it there and periodically print out the whole thing for a read through and revision. Sometimes if I get an idea I open the document on the phone and start writing. I actually am getting to the point where I need a separate document for notes and ideas. |
This is very helpful advice right here. |
