School incident stopped by ATF??

This story started circulating yesterday about a potential shooting being stopped and now is being widely reported. I’ve heard nothing from the school or DCPS — which could mean it doesn’t affect us. Anyone know anything?

Yeah, it probably "started circulating yesterday" to distract from the fact that an actual school shooting took place, carried out be the exact type of online extremist who should have been monitored by the Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships at DHS, except that Trump put a 22 year old with zero experience in charge there.

Without more details this sounds fake. Also, Metro Transit Police? Not the most "on top of it" department. They stopped someone with guns on Metro. I'm glad they did that. I didn't know they were monitoring the contents of bags on Metro for weapons. Sounds like a good idea to me.

But, how would we know this is a potential school shooting? If this was real they would be making a lot more noise about it.

Actually the posted article said that MTPD and ATF conducted a search at the person's residence and found the weapons there. Are we just putting every law enforcement agency/military branch/guy with a gun and uniform in a blender and then handing out assignments at random now? Why would MTPD go into someone's house based on a social media post?

Not sure why you would say that about MTPD, especially since you don’t seem to know much about the breadth of the services they provide to the jurisdictions.
