| Subaru Impreza. A tiny bit bigger but easier to drive, and better safety features. Runs a little more expensive but if you buy late-model used, that difference will be negligible. |

We replaced our daughter’s 2019 Honda Fit with a 2022 HRV and I don’t think it’s a downgrade in any way. What are your issues with the HRV? |

CX-30. I got rid of my fairly new HRV.
CX-30 is much faster and safer. |

It may be faster and safer (plus it sure does look great) but I found the entire backside to be one giant blind spot. |

We bought our kid a Fit as a commuter car and every time I drive it I find myself wanting to take it back for myself. It’s a fun little car. You can throw it into corners like a go cart and drive it it’s stolen and it never disappoints. Gen 2 and 3 Fits are amazing little cars. |

Especially considering a Fit has probably the best outward visibility of any car with a roof. |

There isn’t really anything that’s currently produced and available here that checks all of the same boxes as a Fit, but depending on which boxes you prioritize:

Honda fit was a Japanese made tardis. The HRV is made in Mexico and gives up capacity for “ ruggedness “cosplay. I suspect your best bet is the Corolla cross hybrid. |
