Lots of summer camps need staff. The pay is typically bad, but it's not nothing.

Restaurant jobs. Many have outdoor seating summer time. No experience needed and ready to work your second week.
Just got a friend a job who does not want to return to DCPS as a full time teacher after 8 years.
You can also pick up any weekend or holiday shifts. We make $30-$40 an hour in a cafe.

Tell your friend to apply to MCPS and directly email principals at schools she is interested in. MCPS has vacancies right now and really good schools.
