any reason not to take PE10 pass/fail if your kids is getting mostly As?

My kid is athletic but takes mostly honors and AP classes (usually getting A's). It seems like the PE class would bring down his average. Is there anything I'm not considering? Someone suggested switching it to pass/fail.

Colleges recalculate GPAs by taking out non-core classes. I don't see the point.

My kid is not athletic and luckily has managed an A. I have been considering P/F due to my fear he could actually get lower than an A due to his non athleticism but so far it hasn’t been an issue.
