OMG. Dropped off my children today and am blown away by the new campus. Science building alone is amazing, but all the other spaces are to die for. Kids won't stop talking about it. |
Please provide some background for the rest of us. ![]() |
I just started following them on insta bc we may apply in the next year or two and I was shocked by how pretty it looks - is it new? |
To die for! Ok |
Science building is the only new space. Yes, it is very nice. Anyone at WIS would tell you that none of the other spaces are "to die for." |
Bizarre post. |
Too bad the main criteria for admission is whether you’re full pay. |
I got married at the mansion back in 2007. Based on the Google Maps aerial footage, it looks like the Russian tea house was relocated to the garden where our ceremony was. It is a very pretty campus. |
Maybe it’s a recruiting post since international families have been hit hard by the Trump era? |
Beautiful campus ... students still aren't fluent in a foreign language |
The campus is wonderful and has brought back WIS spirit. It’s a different vibe now. We were at the grand opening for the soccer game and it was so much fun and people were really happy.
As for the poster regarding the foreign language. What are you talking about? Seriously most kids speak a another language fluently. If you have questions about it just reach out to admissions and ask about it. It will help clear up your confusion. |
The new building with the science spaces are indeed incredible. They rival most university spaces and classrooms. The whole basement section of that building alone is state of the art. Anyone interested in STEM or biology would benefit from it. I was blown away when we toured it. When you come up from the hill you think you see a small modern building. What you don’t realize is it’s four stories and wide. And has an amazing cafeteria, classrooms and it’s just utterly a cool and amazing feeling when you are there. |
Asa former member of the community who continues to enjoy the conservancy, I have it say, if u knew the campus before, it is impressive and very thoughtful. Where they moved the dacha is a more appropriate setting. Well done WIS! |
Just back from back to school evewnt. SOOO proud to be a WIS parent right now! Agree with FP- impressive and thoughtful. |
I not only spoke with Admissions, I visited and spoke with students ... their Spanish and French was about as good as any Fairfax County Public Schools student. |
