Tell me about your MHA degree

I am in the very early stages of considering an MHA degree. If you hold one, was it worth it? What was your background entering the program, and what job did you end up with?

I’ve worked in ‘management consulting’ for the majority of my career (think a Booz Allen, Deloitte type firm) and for the past several have supported healthcare consulting projects, which I’ve really enjoyed. I’ve also run the PMO for these projects which I found rewarding. I think healthcare admin could be a way to combine these experiences.

I currently volunteer at a hospital and am doing some informational interviews with MHA holders but am curious if anyone is willing to share.
