Washington radiology sending all screening mammograms to Solis Mammography

I went to make an appointment for my annual mammogram and this announcement was on the Washington Radiology website. Has anyone out there had an imaging with Solis yet, and, if yes, do you recommend it?

Not really. I went there and my doctor had sent orders for a diagnostic weeks earlier but the woman at the desk said the appointment slot they created wasn’t sufficiently long to accommodate the doctor’s order and cancelled my appointment.

I asked why they didn’t match the appointment slot to match the doctor’s faxes, and they said they don’t read the faxes from doctors-they just put them in the patient file for the doctor to read when the patient arrives. They offered me a replacement slot in October, 3 months later.

They seemed disorganized so I made an appt for Fairfax Radiology.

I’m confused. I went to make an appointment with Wash Radiology and noticed the name Solis in multiple places on the site. Did they buy them?

Op here. The website describes Solis as a ‘sister company.’ To me this means that WR didn’t buy anything and didn’t get sold, but that Solis paid WR for their book of business.

I've been going to Washington Radiology for a few years now. I had the same situation earlier this year with them sending me to Solis. I went with it. They had all my records and it was a smooth process. So, no issues in my experience.

WRA is owned by Solis. I wonder if the plan is to transition to the Solis name.
