My childs biology teacher told the class to not bother using the textbook to study… But she herself has written on their online plan that chapter 1&2 will be in the test. They haven’t gotten any other material to study with. So are they expected to use the internet? What do you think? |
Use the book and take the subject matter and add some internet info
Tough to say this is what she’s thinking, but maybe her class notes that cover the materials in chapter 1-2 are what’s on the test.
Did the teacher assign chapters 1-2 for the students to read? Are there slideshows from class? Is your child able to email the teacher to ask for more guidance on what/how to study?
When is the test? Seems quite early. Perhaps the material is coming. Or just email her for clarification.
This is something your child -- not you -- should ask the teacher.
Assuming this is a high school student. They need to figure this out. I’m sure the teacher talked to them about the syllabus and their tests- or will as they come up. Just because YOU don’t understand the syllabus is not a reason to reach out to the teacher.
The only person your child should be asking is the teacher.
