Do any of the Trader Joe’s still carry their cream top yogurt? It’s been gone for a while from Bethesda TJ, so wonder if any others sell it.
Or any other grocery store sell something similar? Like yoghurt that is not too strained, and prefer without added starches. |
| Brown Cow yogurt is cream top, and it is in most grocery stores. |
| Thanks PP, Brown Cow yogurt has pectin in it. Looking for one without added pectin or starches. |
| Whole Foods has maple hill and alexandre farms. |
Thanks Pp, will give them a try. I find Fage and similar too thick and seems more like cheese than the yogurt that I like. I used to buy the Trader Joe’s cream top and also the giant regular plain yogurt (not Greek), but over the past year, it seems both disappeared. I now realize what I am looking for a unstrained yogurt, that retains some of the liquid consistency, and no texture additives that make it thick. |
| What about the Icelandic Provisions Skyr? That’s my favorite and I think it’s clear of the ingredients you avoid. |

Trader Joe’s has a European style yogurt that you might like. I get the whole milk version and it’s very good.

| Erivan's had no thickeners. I used to summer if they made the yogurt for TJ |
Thanks PP, yes, that’s what I get now from time to time, but still miss that tangy taste and texture of cream top. |
Thanks |
I love Brown Cow cream top yogurt. I buy it at Wegmans, and MOM’s also carries it. Maple Hills Creamery (Wegmans) also has cream top, but not as thick as Brown Cow. |
| Op again. Thank you all. Just went to WF and got maple hill, alexandre and yerivan. Sitting now enjoying the alexandre yogurt. Exactly what I was craving, light, tangy, slightly grainy yogurt. I am in heaven. Thank you! |
