| Our dishwasher is on its last leg at 13 years old. What are solid models for under $1,000 that actually dry your dishes. |
| I didn’t know until dcum that anybody worried about this. Someone said they dry off every dish that collects water with a towel before they put it away. I never do that and I never use heated dry. I just dump out any standing water and put things away and it has never been an issue. The only thing I’m slightly conscientious about is water bottle parts and I keep those in a clear plastic bin I assembled so they can dry. Anything glass, ceramic or metal I just put it away with drops and it has never been an issue in any way. Also lunch boxes. There’s no way any level of heat could dry those bentgo boxes anyway. They collect water. |

I bought a Miele last year. Can't remember how much it cost, but I LOVE it and it dries the dishes.
Our old house had a kitchenaid, which I also really liked. I didn't buy one for this house because they'd changed the top/third level to something that did not work well for us. |
| I have had Miele, bosch, asko, and now cove. The cove is the best of the bunch, but it’s probably because it’s the newest and has features like upper rack wash only and delayed start that the older ones didn’t have. I didn’t have the patience to look through all the reviews and just went with what a few friends told me. I don’t run the dishwasher every day, so I don’t need a workhorse. Definitely get one with the upper utensil tray - maybe it’s standard now, but my first two dishwashers did not have it. |

Maytag fully stainless steel is been doing great job.

| Bosch dishwashers are far better than most others. |

I am extremely happy with our Samsung. I know people pan them online, but I bought this one in 2019 and have had zero problems. It has a top rack, it does heated dry with auto-open to vent steam, and it gets the dishes clean. $600 at Costco.
Would 100% buy again. |
Which one do you have? I have an older Miele that is still going strong but doesn't dry plastics. I want to buy another Miele and would love one that dried everything. |
It is a Miele G7156. SO much better than the Asko that had been here. That piece of junk was the bane of my existence. |
| Bosch! |
| We really like our Whirpool dishwasher which has an automatic heated dry function. It cost under $500 back in 2017, but I'd guess it's still under $1K today. If you need a paneled appliance, I've heard only good things about Miele. |
| Our Bosch dishwashers were lemons. Love our 2023 Miele. |
No, And it doesn’t dry. |
. Mine was also a lemon. I replaced it with a GE and it's much better. |
| We don't use heated dry, but nonetheless our dishes are completely dry (except for one or two plastic things with grooves) when we empty our dishwasher. We just bought a new KitchenAid - the third rack is amazing. AMAZING. |
