MSNBC is separating from NBC and changing its name to MSNOW.

MSNBC originally stood for Microsoft and National Broadcasting Company, formed from a joint venture between Microsoft and NBC in 1996. However, the network is rebranding to MS NOW (which stands for My Source for News, Opinion and the World)

Why are they keeping the “MS” and dropping the “NBC”? They’re abandoning the one thing that gave them a hint of credibility. Now they sound like some sort of local cable network.
