Western style riding barn in MOCO?

Looking for a western style riding barn for my 10-yo in MOCO or surrounding area. She’s been riding English style for several years and loves the sport minus barn drama. Thank you!

This is smart because a lot of people don’t realize that the reason there is barn drama is that those little stirrups make us cranky.

So you mean things like barrell raving and rodeo or just western saddle?

As somebody from out west, can confirm rodeo drama is the biggest drama!

But I like western riding, following to see if there are options here.

OP, I don't know if it exists here but look into endurance riding. It's relatively chill on a personal level (not on an athletic level).

Does she have her own pony/horse, or is she looking for a place with school ponies?

I can’t think of any western-oriented lesson barns in MoCo, but maybe a change of discipline might help? Maybe move from hunter/jumper (notorious for bringing the drama) to eventing? Bascule has lesson horses. Waredaca, Crossfire and A Bit Better are all BYO equine.

Or get her involved in Pony Club? There might even be a western focus in one of the MoCo clubs. Or just take a break from competing all together?

LOL to the person blaming the tiny stirrups. I always thought it was that holding the reins with both hands precluded being able to slap someone upside the head when needed.

I think the idea that barn drama is related to discipline is…horse manure.
