| accept very many of their undergrads compared to other universities with medical schools? |
| Maybe they are looking for the best qualified applicants? |
| What is the data? |
Because it is a top18-20 med school and they want to get as many from the T10/ivy undergrad as they can to keep up their rank and try to move up. Taking too many UVA undergrads would invariably bring it down. Super top schools with top 10 undergrad and T10 med schools such as Harvard, Penn, Duke are happy to have about 10% from their own and dozens from other T10 because it is not diluting the overall talent. |
| MCAT scores? |
| Why would they give preference to undergrads who went to UVa? How does that make any sense? |
|
We don’t even know if OP is correct in their assumption because they provide zero evidence.
I OP is the person who posted about UVA repeatedly. Imagine what you could do if you didn’t spend your time obsessing. |
| They probably want elite college grads. Raises the profile of the school. |
LOL. UVa med school is clearly not T20 med school |
| Do we really even know anymore? The true top med schools have left the rankings game. |
