MY DS has level 1 Autism spectrum disorder and ADHD, he has 3.5 Unweighted GPA. SAT SCORES 1220
He was giving ISS back in 8th grade for messing around doing a science lab. and in 9th grade he was suspended for "fighting" the official word that on SIS is (BSC13 Engaging in reckless behavior the creates a risk of injury to self or others), He was "wresting" with his friends. In 10th grade and 11th grade, he was never suspended but he has a few referrals for Interfering with learning in the classroom. Will that drop the chances he has into getting accepted to GMU? I don't think he is ready to go to a school that far away. |
| Of those things, the only one that he might have to report is the 9th grade suspension. And if he can write a short paragraph about what he learned and how it hasn't happened again, I doubt it will keep him out of GMU. I assume you know about its autism support program? |
| Ask school counselor to explain it well in the letter, he should be fine. |
GMU is not an easy admit with those stats (depending on the major). |
| College will never know. Unless he was expelled or arrested at school, they won't know. |
Depends what school. Fcps reports no disciplinary issues. |
thanks! |
