WHC midwives no longer doing VBAC?

| I just read a Google review that the Washington Hospital Center midwives are no longer providing care to patients with a C-section history. I googled it and found a reddit post saying the same thing. Does anyone know the reason for this? |

| I don’t know the reason, but if you want a vbac, go to GW. I had a vba2c there earlier this year and can’t say enough good things about how supportive everyone was. |

Seconding this recommendation. They were incredibly supportive of VBACs, I also had a great experience. |

I mean, yes, but if you’ve had a C-section and are pregnant again, in many cases a trial of labor is going to be lower risk than a repeat C. |

| These are Google reviews OP, not a statement of policy. The midwives could have just determined that one patient was too high risk for them (maybe they had repeated Cs or additional risk factors like placenta previa) and the patient took to Yelp to complain. |

I don’t think you understand this poster - she’s saying TOLAC >> repeat C. Of course repeat vaginal birth is the lowest risk but it’s not a choice if you’ve had a C-section. |
