What’s a good waterproof under the seat carry-on or personal item? (horror stories about the diarrhea in the aisles etc)

What is a good waterproof carryon to fit under the seat in front of you?
I’ve seen in rapid succession all of the these viral horror stories of diarrhea running down the aisles or other bodily fluids like the vomit one pouring out of the seats ahead of passengers, onto passengers in the rows, etc… How do you protect your bag you put under the seat in front of you? What material is it? |

| I think the risk of bodily fluids is way overstated by the OP, but it's not a bad idea at all to have a washable, water resistant bag for travel. There are many good options out there as long as you're not stuck on buying some overpriced designer thing. |

| You can use a waterproofing spray on most fabrics used in bag construction. Or keep your bag in the overhead instead of under your feet. Or don't waste energy worrying about incredibly rare evenutalities - do you also worry about whether your oxygen mask or life vest will function if needed? |

| Every time I have had explosive diarrhea on a plane that soaked the area around my seat there was nothing covering any bags that you would ever want to touch. If it happens, leave the bag behind. |

I have never seen this happen! And I have seen kids throw up on planes lots. What sort of excorcis level event would cause it to run down the aisles?
Regardless I do have a waterproof under seat backpack that I got on Amazon for pretty cheap because it exactly fits the underweat size, and it’s really easy to just wipe it down with a wet wipe if it gets dirty. I put my purse inside that when I travel. |

Same here. And last flight, when I accidentally power vomitted into the overhead bin, I felt bad for everyone having to deal with that, but hey, crap happens. |
