Melania has zero taste, not just in men. Between the red xmas trees and the concreting over the rose garden, she needs to take several classes in decorating.
I guess she doesn't realize how much heat that concrete is going to absorb. Who is ever going to sit out there?
|
And how much rain and runoff is not going to be absorbed. |
| Apparently the umbrellas are from Mar a Lago. How much do you think we’re paying to rent them? |
| Why do you think she has any part in the design the redesign of the rose garden? That’s all Trump. He’s just basically copying Mar-a-Lago. |
The US Flag is the sewer drain cover now. Not even gilded.

| Wait til OP sees the gold leaf in the Oval office and all the gold chalises on the mantle. |
|
Yes. It looks like the outside of a "classy" on campus fast food restaurant.
You know that area is going to be miserable 9 months out of the year in DC. |
Yuck, but the cost to repair it after they're gone is peanuts compared to how much they've stolen from us all. |
Yep. This will be one of the easiest things to repair, aside from ripping out all that tacky gold from the oval office. |
Actually, the white concrete will *reflect* the light. While this would be good for a building (reflection would keep a building cool), this would be terrible for a seating area — anybody sitting under an umbrella would get light from the reflection and potentially burned in the summer. |
| It's a symbol of the horror that has befallen our nation with the scrubbing away of the rule of law. Mark my words: we will rue the day. |
| It is a demilitarized zone to keep out the riff-raff. |
I did see that. Cringe. But, I knew their tastes in interior design ran to ostentatiousness with all that gold, but I thought at least maybe for the outside their tastes would be better since Trump's into golf courses and manicured lawns. Obviously, I was wrong. |
| I kind of like it. she probably likes it as it is hard to walk in grass in heels, and walking in heels is her one area of excellence. |
concrete absorbs heat more than the grass. I have a largish flagstone concrete patio. It gets pretty hot there in the summer, so we usually put up all the umbrellas. But, we also have a large grassy area right next to it. It's nice in the cooler, but sunny days, though. |
