I know this series has been out for a long time, but I’m just now watching. I am torn because the premise is interesting - but the writing and some of the acting is SO BAD. Particularly that of the main character, Jane. The writers use her as the expository vehicle - she’s the one who says the obvious that everyone already knows. “He could be anywhere!” “I don’t understand - what do you mean by that?” etc. As if the audience is stupid and needs a character to make these idiotic comments so that someone will explain. I can’t stand this way of writing!!
There are also around 25 episodes PER season. I’m still trying to get through season one and if the rest is anything like this, I think I’ll have to throw in the towel. Anyone else watched this? Does it get better? |
