Can anyone recommend an executive recruiter to support my job search? I’m in my early 40s, mostly corporate career, would like to pivot into public interest work. Executive Director level. MBA grad, top schools. Prior work experience in finance, strategy, sales/partnership, and sustainability. Thanks! |

Other people might have different experiences but I’ve found that recruiters represent companies now and not individuals. When I was job hunting earlier this year, I developed a relationship with an executive recruiter who would keep me in mind when her clients were looking to fill positions but I was never her client.
I also worked with recruiters of specific companies I targeted for employment. There are industry specific groups that gather job announcements in one place but I wouldn’t call recruiters. |

I have signed up with a job coach -- she doesn't find me jobs but she's helping with my resume, strategies for networking, and prepping for interviews. Really an accountability partner and someone to vet things against.
I still have to do the work, though. |

Myself and a former coworker both were hired recently. I started a new position two months ago and she just got an offer. Women over 50. The job market may not be awesome but it’s not completely dead. |
