7 BR Villas in Europe: Where?

Anonymous
My extended family and I are planning a trip to Europe next June. Grandparents, 3 married children and 5 grandchildren (ages 7-23). In the past we have rented villas in Hawaii, Tuscany, and Portugal. Non-negotiables are: must have a pool, must have a view, space for everyone on property, and flights must not have more than 1 layover from east coast. Other than those, we are flexible. We are considering: Sicily, Greece, Madeira, Azores, S. of France, Lake Como region, and a few others. If you have recommendations for locations or actual villas, I would love to receive them! TY

Very hard to find such large houses though not impossible. You may need 2-3 separate residences.

Just searched for a week in June and found 5 places within 30 or so miles of Avignon, and that's probably too early, most places won't have their summer 2026 schedule open.until maybe October or so. Not sure why it would be that hard.

OP here. I'm looking for recommendations of specific places people have traveled to and stayed at with large families. We've been to Tuscany and it was wonderful. Thanks!

I don’t know of a specific place anymore, but when I was a kid in this situation we would rent out what was essentially a very small hotel/large chalet in the Alps. The added benefit would be any meals that are included.

Just check Airbnb and VRBO and put 7 Br in the filter. Like other posters have said, larger homes in Europe aren’t as common.
