Part time fed: how is severance calculated for part time fed?

Currently I am a full time fed, but thinking about changing status to part time fed.

I am at the risk of being relocated(maybe next year), if so, I will likely take severance and leave fed.

I am not sure if changing from full time to part time affects severance pay.

I should be qualified for severance if relation is far away (hundreds of miles away, far more than 50 miles), my job announcement (many years ago) does not include anything related to mobility.

Looks like you get screwed if you go part time and your severance is based upon your most recent salary:
