Anyone use a Hotlogic meal warmer for the office (or home)?

How is Hotlogic different from, say, just using a crockpot? (at home?)

I get how the Hotlogic mini would be useful for cooking a frozen meal. I'm thinking of getting one for work, because we don't have access to microwaves and aren't allowed to bring our own. (I'm sure if I asked they'd say no to the hotlogic thing too but it looks just like a lunch box so I can just bring it in each day.)

bump.. wondering if anyone has used this "electric lunchbox"?

I am trying to understand how it can work like a crockpot, if the food doesn't contain much liquid.
