DODE is still cutting jobs, My employer is GDIT- I do work (help desk) with DHS, and tomorrow will be my last day of work. Noem is suppose to sign the contracts of anything over $100,000 and she not going to sign it.
How long is it taking for people who been layoff to find a job? |

| It's definitely taking a while. And the larger the title/salary, the more time it takes. Don't get discouraged with lack of interviews, it's more of a reflection of the sheer number of applicants. Adjust CVs to align with job postings (using AI helps expedite) and keep applying and using your network. It sounds basic, but there's no magic bullet out here. |

I feel for you, OP.
My husband and son are on the autism spectrum, and while being very intellectual and knowledgeable in their niche fields, they have poor social acuity, have trouble reading non-verbal cues, and interviews are just a complete nightmare for them. It's tough out there. Big hugs. I really hope you find something to your liking. |

Op, start applying, may take some luck but the sooner the better. My friend found a higher paying job within two months.
