Cell phone monitoring app

What is thr best cell phone monitoring app?
We want ds to have very limited functionality and screen time. We have found thst it is hard to control his i phone with our android phones. He bought the i phone with his own money...but it has been such a huge pain to manage

We have other apple products that DH uses to try and manage the i phone but it is very buggy.

I will add that ds has a history of difficulty with managing his tech usage...hence the need for more oversight than others.

No, controls are buggy when parents and kids both have iPhones too. I think this is intentional.

Would love to know what I should do to lock down my kids phone or at least monitor it - is there a website or Reddit?

I’m not tech savvy. I look at my kids phone every now and again, about once every 2 weeks. We wrote up a “ contract” for her to get the phone. This is in the contract.
I would never need to lock it down. If something happened where she loses the privilege of having the phone it just stays in my room where it charges.
Some of you need to man up.
