If you’ve ever wished the future looked like a neon-lit mix of grit, tech, and atmosphere, Alien: Earth delivers it in spades. From the very first scene, it feels like stepping into a world where Blade Runner’s rain-slick streets meet the tension of the Alien franchise. The opening text alone sets up a bold new vision for series , where the real war isn’t humans vs. xenomorphs, but corporations racing to control the future of life itself.
Noah Hawley wastes no time pulling us into a story where cyborgs, AI synths, and human-consciousness hybrids battle for dominance. It’s a high-tech arms race with galactic stakes, and it reframes the Alien universe in a way that makes you rethink everything from the 1979 original onward. Between the moody visuals, the clever corporate worldbuilding, and the unapologetic embrace of retro-future aesthetics, Alien: Earth feels like the kind of sci-fi world I’d want to live in dark, dangerous, and packed with technology. If you’re into cyberpunk, retro sci-fi, and deep franchise storytelling, you’re going to want to watch this. |
| Agreed, we watched the first two episodes last night. It’s so good! |
| I love all that stuff. Thanks OP |
| Where to stream? Can we please put that in the titles? |
Not OP, but it’s on Hulu or FX if you still have cable. Way too many commercials on the FX version, seemed every six or seven minutes unless you record and skip them. |
| For streaming it’s on Hulu and it’s on Disney+ |
| It was terrible. |
Rotten Tomatoes would disagree |
RT gave movies like It Follows a 95% rating when it was pure trash. The first episode had god awful dialogue. All of the characters suck. The acting is really bad across two episodes. Also, tons of woke garbage. |
"Woke garbage" 🙄 |
| Totally forgot this was coming on! Will watch this weekend |
|
Anything "streaming" these days is hot garbage it seems.
The platform is dead. What's next? |
Right? I cannot take an argument seriously when someone uses this term People are worried about “woke” on the new Buffy series. Um, did you not watch the first 7 seasons? FFS |
| I was disappointed at how little diversity there was. |
| I wanted to like this as I am into cyberpunk, retro sci-fi, and deep franchise storytelling, but I find it unwatchable save for Sydney Chandler playing Wendy/Marcie (yes I know she is Kyle Chandler's daughter) and Alex Lawther playing her brother. |
