| I love to travel. Lately I just feel like travel in the US is just blah. Everything is soo crowded and expensive. Just finished a trip to Cape Cod, a day on the Vineyard and NYC. I get that it is August but the whole east coast is just mobbed. We’ve been a lot of places and I’ve never seen it like this this year. Anyway… just wondering if others feel similarly. |
| You just named 3 incredibly popular spots. What did you expect? |
During peak travel to boot. |

Why don't you leave the US to travel.
Europe loves stupid Americans especially MAGA LOL |
| There are better places to visit in the US. |
| Of course I know that. I’ve been to a lot of them. I’ve been international many times. I’m just curious if others feel this way after summer travel or if it’s just me. Could just be that we have to travel over school breaks now. Looking forward to when we don’t. |
Yes, OP. There are other people who find crowds exhausting. |
| Travel in the Us has always sucked. I can't name 2 cities I'd actually pay to go visit. |
| I mean of course the school calendar totally cramps my style! I had two great trips this summer to Iceland and Bermuda this summer though - whatever crowds there were in both of those places didn't bother me. |
| US airports as bad as planes this summer. |
| I love travel because I do it rarely and make sure each trip is as pleasant as possible. I plan really well, and try to avoid crowds if possible. |
| We literally just had a thread on this. You’re not special |
| Good brag. |
| Go west. Go west. |
|
There are plenty of remote, not busy places in this world worth visiting.
Get off the beaten path. |
